About Us
Learn more about our founders and their journey to becoming Essex Bespoke Jewellery

Our Mission
Founded in 2022 by two passionate Essex-based jewellers, our mission is to transform the jewellery industry and revive the essence of true artistry. With over 15 years of combined experience, we have witnessed shifts in the high street landscape—declining jewellery quality, rising prices, and overwhelming markups.
We are here to redefine jewellery-making and buying, delivering high-quality, handcrafted pieces that are accessible to all. Our commitment to transparency and fair pricing distinguishes us from other jewellers. By cutting out intermediaries and connecting directly with our customers, we offer bespoke and curated made-to-order jewellery at prices that are, on average, 30% lower than those at high street jewellers.
We want to make your journey easier and your budget go further!
Passionate Jewellery Artisans
At Essex Bespoke Jewellery, we believe your jewellery should resonate with your unique personality and emotions. Our talented artisans craft each piece as a treasured work of art. More than any other factor, we are inspired and honoured to be a part of and contribute to your life journey and happiness. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to create something extraordinary.
Our Founders
Adam Mahdy and Arran Vernon first met while working at an independent jeweller in Essex. It was here they uncovered their mutual passion for jewellery making and design, forging a strong friendship grounded in creativity, craftsmanship, and ambition. Committed to the art of bespoke jewellery, they envisioned a future where their unique designs could come to life, challenging the boundaries of luxury and individuality. Fuelled by this shared dream, they set out to create a jewellery brand that would offer truly bespoke, handcrafted pieces, leading to the inspiring birth of Essex Bespoke Jewellery Ltd.

CO-FOUNDER
ADAM MAHDY
Adam Mahdy, director and co-founder of Essex Bespoke Jewellery Ltd., exemplifies creativity and excellence in the jewellery industry. With over a decade of experience, he has gained recognition for crafting unique pieces that embody luxury and artistry.
His passion for jewellery began in childhood, nurtured by his mother’s drawing lessons and his father's guidance in developing a business mindset. This combination laid the foundation for his success.
Adam started his career at an independent jeweller in Essex, where he discovered his love for jewellery making. Committed to mastering new techniques, he aimed to establish his own business that creates not only beautiful but also meaningful pieces.
At Essex Bespoke Jewellery Ltd., Adam brings his vision to life, ensuring each handcrafted piece reflects the unique story of the wearer, crafted to the highest standards of quality.

Co-Founder
Arran Vernon
Arran Vernon, co-founder and director of Essex Bespoke Jewellery Ltd., specialises in creating exquisite handcrafted jewellery with a bespoke touch. His journey into the jewellery industry began in college, sparked by a fascination with geology and minerals that led to a side business of buying and selling gemstones.
To deepen his knowledge, Arran joined a family-run jeweller, where he gained hands-on experience and learned to source fine materials while collaborating with clients. He taught himself jewellery-making, dedicating many hours to perfecting his skills. His pursuit of excellence took him to Hatton Garden, London’s historic jewellery district, where he refined his techniques.
At Essex Bespoke Jewellery Ltd., Arran blends his passion for gemstones with technical skill to craft meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect his commitment to artistry, precision, and timeless elegance.
Arran's Stand out Pieces

Sand Infused Wedding Bands & Eternity Ring
These sand and resin rings are on my list because they are truly unique and exceptionally personal. Working with resin for the first time made the process both exciting and rewarding. The sand, collected from the beach where the couple is getting married, adds a deeply sentimental touch, turning these rings into a beautiful symbol of their love and journey together.

Green Sapphire Twig Pendant
This yellow gold and green sapphire twig pendant is one of my favourite pieces due to the variety of techniques used in its creation. From intricate texturing to precise stone setting, every step presented a rewarding challenge. What makes it truly special is the meaning behind it—Our Client's daughter’s nickname is “Twig,” which makes this piece a deeply personal and sentimental treasure.

Sapphire & Diamond Bangle
The complexity and meaning behind this piece make it one of my all-time favourites. It was one of the most intricate designs we’ve ever worked on, presenting both a challenge and a joy to create. Each sapphire holds special significance for our clients so it added a deeply personal touch to this already stunning piece.
